About InvestBorno
Borno State Investment Promotion Agency (BOSIPA) was established further to the signing into law of the Borno State Investment Promotion Agency Law, 2023 on September 6, 2023 by Engr Prof Baba Gana Umar Zulum, Governor of Borno State of Nigeria.
BOSIPA is responsible for the development, promotion, facilitation and coordination of investment in Borno State through greenfield, Public-Private Partnership, Privatization and Commercialization of State-owned assets. The Agency is positioned to make Borno State an destination of choice for investors in Nigeria.
Functions
InvestBorno was established to perform the following key functions:
- Serve, Coordinate and monitor all Investment Promotion and Public-Private Partnership (PPP) transactions and activities in Bomo State;
- Identify specific projects and invite interested investors for participation in those projects;
- Initiate, organize, and participate in promotional activities such as exhibitions, conferences and seminars for stimulation of investments in the state;
- Assist new and existing investors by promoting support services;
- Regulate, monitor and evaluate compliance with the terms and conditions of such transactions;
- Monitor the implementation, execution and delivery of investment projects as contained in agreements between the Government and Investors;
- Formulate and assist the Government in creating an attractive and competitive environment in the state that will stimulate the local economy.

- Provision of information about investment opportunities in key sectors.
- Investment advisory and facilitation.
- Incentives negotiation and facilitation.
- Negotiation of Public-Private Partnership agreements between the state government and private investors.
- Support in accessing land or other state government services.
- Facilitation of contractual arrangements between investors and local producers/ suppliers.
