Commissioner of Finance: “I had the honor and privilege of attending the Canada–Africa Trade and Investment Expo 2025 in Toronto Ontario, Canada, where I proudly led the Borno State delegation.

With me are; Engr. Adam Bukar Bababe, Executive Secretary, Borno Geographic Information Service (BOGIS); Musa Mustapha Zarma, Director General, Borno State Bureau for Public Procurement; and Haj. Maryam Shehu, Acting Director General, Borno State Investment Promotion Agency.

We were in the esteemed company of Their Excellencies Dr. Dauda Lawal Dare, Executive Governor of Zamfara State; Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya, Executive Governor of Gombe State; the Nigerian High Commissioner to Canada, His Excellency, Zanna Abba Kawu; and the Director General of the Nigeria Governors Forum, Dr. Abdulateef Shittu.

This important engagement focuses on strengthening trade and investment ties between Canada and Africa, with special emphasis on Nigeria’s sub-nationals.
